Game info & Progression system of ADream Remake

In ADream Remake, we have carefully designed the server rates to provide an experience that maintains the perfect balance between challenge and reward. Our main objective has been to create an environment where every advancement is significant while avoiding frustration with game mechanics for the players.

The magic level has undergone a thorough review. All formulas have been reedited to better align with our gameplay model, ensuring that players investing in improving their magic level notice a clear difference in the performance of their spells and skills. Growth is progressive and rewarding, but not excessively fast, ensuring that planning and tactics are as important as skills.

Additionally, the skill rates have been adjusted similarly. We have modified the damage to improve the minimum damage rate that players can deal, so that every hit, whether melee or ranged, has a more relevant impact. We know that missing three hits in a row, especially at high levels, can be frustrating. Therefore, in ADream Remake, the higher a player's skill, the more likely their hits will be consistent, eliminating the possibility of attacks failing continuously. Accuracy and consistency have been priorities when balancing combat, making hits not only more frequent but also having more stable and significant damage.

As for experience, it may seem medium-low at first, but this is intentionally designed to ensure the longevity of the server. The gradual progression will allow you to enjoy every stage of the game and explore all its facets without the feeling of having “burned” through it too quickly. Additionally, for those looking to optimize their progress, we have introduced a series of mechanisms that add dynamism to the gaming experience.

One of the standout elements is the happy hour with stamina, a limited resource that we carefully manage to provide moments where experience gain is significantly increased. Similarly, throughout the game, players will be able to obtain various experience buffs. These can be found through side quests, additional challenges, or even by discovering points of interest scattered across the map, encouraging exploration and interaction with the world.

Another key system is the chaincount, a cumulative bonus that grants additional experience for eliminating consecutive enemies without rest. This system rewards persistent hunters who engage in long combat sessions, allowing their effort to be reflected in a greater experience gain.

In summary, the balance between fun and challenge is the core of what we aim for. Every aspect of the game has been adjusted to provide a memorable experience, where both character progression and the sense of achievement remain constant, without sacrificing the classic essence that defines Tibia.

Death Penalties

The essence of version 7.6 lies in its balanced difficulty, where quick reflexes and caution were essential for success. To preserve this challenge and make character death a more significant part of the game, we've implemented the following changes to enhance both the difficulty and enjoyment, emphasizing the importance of avoiding death as much as possible.
Here are the new mechanics:

When a player dies, they lose reputation based on their level, the higher their level, the more reputation they will lose.

The more times a character dies overall, the more experience and skills they will lose (up to a limit). However, having blessings will reduce these losses to more reasonable levels, though a minimum amount will always be lost. This ensures that money remains important in the game’s economy, as players will need to consistently invest in blessings to protect their progress. Additionally, the more times a player dies, the higher the cost of purchasing blessings becomes (with a cap).

If you fail to time the use of a rune or spell correctly while exhausted, you will receive an additional 1.6-second penalty (becoming exhausted again). This mechanic forces players to stay calm and avoid "panic mode," as a mistake could easily lead to death.

We have a vast array of added systems and improvements that enrich the classic experience of Tibia, maintaining its essence while modernizing crucial aspects of the game. Over time, we have worked hard to integrate new systems that offer greater strategic depth, cooperative dynamics, and increased variety in gameplay. All these changes and updates have been reflected in the ChangeLog as the server was programmed, which can be conveniently viewed and downloaded in a PDF in the Updates section.

Among the added systems, notable features include the Dual Wielding system, which allows to Montaraz equip two weapons simultaneously to increase their attack speed (+250MS) or Knights wear double-handed weapon + shield to increase his defense.
This bonuses is only granted if we meet the conditions: For Knights you will need higher shielding skill than the Attack(+25) of the two handed weapon that we are trying to carry. (example: weapon atk 50 -> we need 75 shielding skill).
For Montaraz you will need higher Melee skill than the sum of the two weapons that we are trying to carry / 2 + 32. (example: 2 weapons of 30 atk -> we need 62 skill to carry them (30 + 30 / 2 + 32).

Deterioration system for sets (weapons and armors): This system introduces an added layer of strategy and resource management in ADream. As players engage in combat while wearing or wielding equipment, the items gradually degrade, with the percentage of deterioration visible when checking the item. If an item breaks, it will either cease to provide protection (in the case of armor) or lose its attack capabilities (for weapons). To repair these items, we just need a special pickaxe.

Once our items reach the maximum level, we will need a mineral called Orichalcum to restore them and return their power when we use the special pickaxe.
This valuable material can only be obtained by defeating elite creatures, making it a rare and sought-after resource. Players must carefully assess whether it's worth investing resources into repairing a broken item or temporarily switching to a secondary piece of equipment. This mechanic adds a distinct RPG flavor, encouraging players to maintain backup weapons and armor for such occasions, and to make tactical decisions about when and how to use their best gear.

Hunting Score system: This system is designed to track and reward players' hunting skills and progress. As players engage in combat and successfully defeat creatures, they accumulate points that contribute to their overall hunting score. The system is tiered into different levels based on a player's score, with on high level tier unlocks unique rewards and bonuses. The Hunting Score system not only serves as a measure of prowess but also adds a layer of motivation for players to improve their efficiency in combat.

Guilds with levels: Player guilds aren't just social groups but dynamic entities that can grow and evolve through active participation in the game world. Guilds gain points by engaging in various activities such as hunting, completing quests, taking on special challenges, or earning reputation points through their interactions within the world. As a guild accumulates points, it advances through different levels, each offering unique perks and bonuses. You can read about the bonuses availables in the Quest & Bonus section.

Dungeons are one of the most exhilarating features, designed to test the mettle of even the bravest adventurers. To access these dungeons, players must form a party of four or five members, fostering teamwork and collaboration from the outset. Each mission within a dungeon is timed, featuring a countdown that updates every five seconds, showing how much time is left to complete the challenge. Players have the opportunity to extend this time by defeating creatures encountered along the way, adding a strategic layer to the gameplay. Each decision becomes crucial: should you take the time to eliminate a creature for the extra seconds, or should you push forward to complete the dungeon before the clock runs out? Moreover, each dungeon presents unique handicaps that limit the use of specific spells or runes, requiring players to adapt their strategies and rely on their skills and teamwork rather than solely on powerful magic. This limitation enhances the challenge and forces players to think creatively about how to overcome obstacles. Inside the dungeons, players will encounter various puzzles that must be solved to progress further. They will need to pay close attention to environmental cues, signs, and scrolls that provide vital information. These elements often serve as keys to unlocking doors or revealing hidden paths, encouraging exploration and keen observation. The combination of timed challenges, strategic combat, and intricate puzzles makes dungeons a thrilling experience that tests not only players' combat abilities but also their problem-solving skills and teamwork.

Elite Monsters: in the world, players will encounter formidable *Elite Monsters*, distinguished by an asterisk (*) or double asterisks (**) at the end of their names, indicating their level of difficulty. Defeating these creatures grants significantly more experience than regular monsters, rewarding skilled players for their efforts. In addition to the experience points, players also earn valuable reputation points, enhancing their standing within the game's community. Elite Monsters marked with a single asterisk (*) provide a challenge to face it. Upon defeating them, players are guaranteed to receive an **Orichalcum Pearl**, a coveted item that can be used for repairing equipment or crafting powerful items. These elite foes do not appear randomly; they may spawn after defeating any creature in the vicinity, adding an element of surprise and excitement to every hunt. To maintain a balanced gameplay experience, Elite Monsters are not associated with lower-level creatures. This design choice ensures that players are not frustrated by facing opponents that are out of reach, allowing them to engage with Elite Monsters only when they have the resources and skills necessary to confront such formidable adversaries.

Strategic Positioning Damage: which rewards players for attacking enemies from behind. By striking a foe from this vulnerable angle, players deal increased damage, represented by a distinct color effect in-game, allowing them to immediately recognize when their tactical positioning is paying off. This mechanic adds a layer of depth and strategy to combat, especially in team hunts. For example, a Knight can block powerful creatures like a Behemoth, taking the brunt of the attacks, while Paladins positioned behind the enemy can unleash devastating hits. The increased damage from behind makes these roles more dynamic, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and coordination during challenging encounters. Players who master this strategy will find themselves more effective in battle, turning the tide in difficult situations and maximizing their team's overall performance in combat.

Guild Allies: reaching a specific level within a guild unlocks a powerful advantage: the interest of mercenaries who wish to join your cause and assist you in battle at key moments. These **Guild Allies** appear automatically and at random intervals, depending on your vocation, with each summoning a unique companion tailored to your role. These allies are not simple summons, but rather intelligent entities with their own **AI**, designed to assess the situation and act accordingly. Depending on the need, your ally might heal you with ultimate healing runes, cast defensive spells like 'sio' to keep you alive, or even use 'exeta res' to draw enemies' focus if you’re overwhelmed. They are also capable of luring enemies in certain cases, taking the pressure off the main team. However, just like players, these mercenaries have a finite amount of mana and runes. Once they've exhausted their resources, they will inform you, making sure you don’t rely too heavily on them as their support diminishes. Each vocation gets a specific type of ally designed to complement their strengths, adding an extra layer of strategy to guild activities and turning the tide in challenging encounters.

Finally, we have introduced a range of new spells that can be consulted in the SPELLS section of this website.

Below, we present a summary of some of these systems that may require a more graphical and straightforward view for better understanding.

Rage

The Rage of Montaraz

Rage plays a fundamental role in Montaraz, featuring a rage bar that fills with each hit dealt. The more rage accumulated, the greater the attack speed and damage of its spells; however, in addition to mana, its offensive spells will require a minimum amount of accumulated rage. When it reaches the maximum, the berserker mode is activated, granting a passive bonus of critical chance and speed until the rage is exhausted.

Ambushes

During the game, whenever we are in a cave or mountain (basically a different floor from the base), we have a chance that upon eliminating a creature, it will call one or two more of its kind for help. Therefore, in various situations where we may be facing a large number of dangerous enemies, an additional one may appear, so be careful!

System Image

Exiva Upgrade

During the adventure, we can obtain an upgrade for the exiva spell. There are two types: one provides a more specific location of the searched player, and the other informs us if someone is looking for us with a small message, as long as we do not have any type of skull.

System Image

Battle Statistics

The game features a task storage system that records everything from what we kill to the time spent doing specific actions like gaining experience, the enemies we have eliminated, and much more that we can review after a fight upon losing PZL.

System Image

Battle Event

Prepare for an epic team vs. team battle! The Red and Green teams will face off to conquer the castle, by pulling their respective levers. Every second the castle remains under your team’s control, points will be accumulated. The first team to reach 100 points wins! Throughout the event, individual performance will be tracked, and players can earn ELO points to rise up the leaderboard. Get ready for a fierce competition—only one team will emerge victorious in the Battle Event!

System Image

Upgrade Equipment

Weapons/armor synthesize the combat experience we acquire while equipped when eliminating a creature. This will grant us more or fewer points depending on the danger posed; low-level monsters barely give 1 simple synthesis point. When we level up an item, it will have increased attack power or grant us greater defense, depending on whether it is a weapon or armor.

System Image

Monsterpedia

The Monsterpedia System allows players to gather crucial information about enemies as they defeat them. With each kill, you'll unlock new data, and once you've collected enough information, the full details of the creature will be revealed. This includes its health points (HP), experience (EXP), defense stats, loot drops, and more. To enhance your knowledge and track your progress, you can obtain the Essence Container from a special NPC, enabling you to store valuable essences from your defeated foes.
